Okay I'm no pro, but I handle about 98 percent of my own repairs and renovations. Decided to drywall my basement roof. Bought this sander to try it out. Patience is key. Hooked it up to my shop vac, naturally turned the suction on the machine to max. You'd want the most suction right? Wrong. It was spewing dust everywhere! I was half way to sending it back. I've cleaned my filter, added a dust bag, everything. After looking at the head of the sander, seeing the suction port crowded with drywall dust. I turned everything on, and backed off the suction knob off about a quarter turn, BAM, major suction. This thing is a beast and worked like a charm after tuning it. Barely any dust escapes the bristled head. Just make sure you play with the suction knob while your shop vac is on. Love this thing.

My primary sander is a Mirka Deros. I wanted a secondary unit for another station in my shop. I figured at 1/3rd the cost, I'd give this unit a try. I've seen reviews on other import lookalikes were the paddle doesn't control the speed. I was beyond thrilled when I found that the paddle tapers the speed on this sander just like my deros or a pneumatic unit would do. You still have the buttons on the handle to increase or decrease base speed. The weight is 2lb 14oz compared to the Mirka at 2lb 5oz. However in the hand, it's barely noticeable. And had I not had the mirka to compare, I'd never notice it anyhow. During operation there is essentially no vibration. Time will tell regarding the durability and longevity, but it certainly feels just as high quality as the Mirka. If you are looking for a high quality sander and don't want to pay European pricing, look no further. The maxXT is worth a first look.

It is super sturdy. It mixes everything and never fails. Used it to mix countertop mix for in-place cast. Help mixing the cement in the bucket. Worked great. We have been using this with mortar and grout. It works great. Plenty of power. Beefy, well made tool. It even comes with the mixing bits and a kit bag. Very nice. Should last a long time. I have a 4" garden auger and my 3 amp drill struggled to drill through clay and just couldn't do the job. Since this drill is 9 amps, it cuts through the clay like a hot knife through butter. Saves me a lot of back breaking work. Fantastic tool for my gardening.
